Nottinghamshire is a county that has always understood the value of the open road. Sherwood’s ancient greenwood, the Great North Road running through Newark, the market towns and mining villages that sent people out to every corner of the world — this is a place shaped by comings and goings. We rather like being the firm that helps with the going part.

Nottinghamshire Removals is local and independent. We move homes and businesses across the whole shire — Nottingham and its suburbs, out to Mansfield and the Ashfields, east to Newark and Southwell, north to Worksop and Retford — and out from there to anywhere in the UK or across to Europe. Alongside the everyday house moves we handle the tricky things other firms shy away from: pianos, part-loads, storage between completions, and long continental drives.

Why local still matters

A great deal of removals work now gets routed through faceless national booking sites. We think a move is far too personal for that. When you call us you reach people who know the county — which lanes a big van can’t take near Southwell, where parking is impossible in the Lace Market, how tight the turns are on the newer estates around Hucknall. That knowledge is the difference between a move that runs to time and one that doesn’t.

It keeps us honest, too. Much of our work comes from people we’ve moved before, or their families and neighbours. That is the best kind of advertising, and the only kind worth having — so we earn it every time.
